Crystal Jade is a type of place that stands in the gap between hawker food and restaurant food. Its higher class than a food court because you are served by servers but lower class that restaurants because real estate around your table is about as much as how far your legs can go. So the food has to be where its deigned to be at. Mediocre.
We ordered the Wontan noodles, frog leg porridge, pepper beef and fried squid. It was mediocre. But I have to say the place was uber crowded and the servers were really helpful with the ordering. The value of the food was mediocre and it was all good for me because I sort of expected it.
I don't know why I always order the wontan mee, even though I don't really even like it? Weird. I should try to order something else when I'm there.
