Wild Honey

Wild Honey is a place where breakfast is served throughout the whole day. Or where my wife would like to call: "Heaven." I am not a big breakfast person but I have to say that I was impressed.

But first, things I didn't like about the place:
- the price = too expensive for breakfast!
- the dimly lit restaurant made me feel like taking a nap, its breakfast for goodness sake, where's the sunshine?
- why am I always surrounded by ladies at this place?
- do you really need a maitre d' at such a small place?

Things I really liked about the place:
- it is dimly lit.
- i am surrounded by ladies
- it is probably the quietest part of Orchard Road.
- i love the furniture.

But wait, this is a food blog, and as food goes, it is good. My wife reckons its what one would pay for at PS Cafe. I have been there 4 times now. The scones are lovely. Chocolate cupcake, lovely. Tea, mundane. Bread basket, varietal. And service? Decent with a capital T.

The one thing I didn't get is that with the price going an average of around $18 a plate, why do I have to walk up to the counter and order like at McDonald's? And talking about McDonald's, the serving of breakfast has been extended till 12 over the weekends.

And that my friends, is a public service announcement.
